Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection is the most common cause of lower respiratory tract infections (bronchiolitis and pneumonia) in infants and young children. It also causes cold-like symptoms in older children and Adults. It is very contageous and most infants have it before the age of 2 years. Most of them do not have a serious infection.
