The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has 5 physicians 2 nurse practitioners. They are accepting new patients.


Judith Almekinder, CNP

Physician

 


Judy Almekinder, Nurse Practitioner, was born in Rochester, NY and has lived in the area for her whole life. She received an AAS Degree in Nursing from Monroe Community College in 1974, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nazareth College in 1983, and a Master of Science Degree in Women’s Health Care from the University of Rochester in 1998. She is certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the NCC. Prior to joining the Canandaigua Medical Group in early 2009, Judy worked as an NP at the Highland Hospital Community Ob/Gyn Program, the Rochester Gynecology & Obstetric Associates, and most recently at the Planned Parenthood of Rochester/Syracuse Regional Office in Greece.

Judy and her husband, Leonard, live in Greece. The Almekinders have three children: Sarah, Allison and Jeffrey. In her spare time, Judy enjoys watching her son play hockey, camping with her family, reading and playing with her two Siberian Huskies: Pippen & Toby.


Martha Boudakian, CNW

Physician

 


Martha Boudakian, Certified Nurse Midwife, was raised in Pittsford. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Barnard College. She then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Binghamton University, and her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Nurse-Midwifery from the University of Pennsylvania.

Martha is board certified as a Nurse Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board. She has a special interest in complementary and alternative medicine and in international women's health.

Martha lives in Mendon with her partner Vincent, and their two daughters, Noor and Arev. She is an avid practitioner of yoga, she enjoys hiking and weaving, and she loves to travel.


Catherine J. Cantwell, MD

Physician

 


Dr. Cantwell was born in Morristown, New Jersey and lived there until her early teen years when she moved to Ithaca, New York. A Psychology and Biology Major, she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Dr. Cantwell attended the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine and Jones Institute in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Cantwell is Board Certified and is currently a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the Canandaigua Medical Society. She began her private practice in 1993 at the Canandaigua Medical Group.

Dr.Cantwell and her husband, Dr. Kevin McCormick, a Geriatrician, live in Canandaigua. Rowing, running, needlepoint, and basketball are a few of her favorite pastimes.


Dr. Hani Chehata

Physician

 


Dr. Chehata was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt. He graduated from the Alexandria School of Medicine in 1985 and then went on to complete his internship and residency in Karmouz Hospital, Alexandria, Egypt in 1991. He did his postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and became Board Certified in Great Britain from 1991 through 1996. Dr. Chehata came to the United States in 1997 and completed his second residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the George Washington University Medical Center, Washington, DC in 2002. He is Board Certified, a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians in Great Britain and a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. His subspecialty interests include urinary incontinence and infertility. Dr. Chehata joined the Canandaigua Medical Group in 2008.

Dr. Chehata and his wife, Mary (a pharmacist at Rite Aid), currently live in Horseheads, NY with their son, Anthony. They look forward to moving to the Canandaigua area soon. They are also proud members of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Egypt. He enjoys watching and playing soccer, tennis, table tennis, and swimming.


Terri Dailey, CNP

Physician

 


Terri Dailey, Nurse Practitioner, was born in Hornell, NY and was raised in the Southern Tier and Rochester. She received an AAS Degree in Nursing from FLCC in 1986, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nazareth College in 1997, and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Buffalo in 2000. She is certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the NCC. Prior to joining the Ob/Gyn team at the Canandaigua Medical Group during the summer of 2008, Terri’s nurse practitioner experience included positions at the Planned Parenthood/Rape Crisis Center in Rochester, Wayne County Public Health in Lyons, Planned Parenthood of Rochester/Syracuse in Canandaigua and most recently at Park West Women’s Health in Rochester.

Terri and her husband, Jim (a retired school social worker), live in nearby Macedon. She has two stepdaughters with 4 grandchildren along with one daughter and a new grandson. In her free time, Terri enjoys knitting, drawing/painting, playing fiddle and spending time with her family.


Philip C. Nevin, MD

Physician

 


Born and raised in Syracuse, New York, Dr. Nevin attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York as an undergraduate student. He went on to Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland to earn his Doctor of Medicine and then completed his internship and residency at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Nevin is Board Certified and is currently a member of the American College of Obstetrician-Gynecologists. He began his private practice in 1989 in New Hampshire before joining the Canandaigua Medical Group in 1991.

Dr. Nevin and his wife, Kathi, a “hard working volunteer and homemaker,” live in Canandaigua with their three children, Michelle, Timothy, and Christina. In his free time, Dr. Nevin enjoys gardening and outdoor activities of all types.


W. Jeffery Page, MD

Physician

 


Dr. Page grew up in Spencerport, New York before attending Michigan State University where he received both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science Degree.  He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan then went on to complete his internship and residency at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Dr. Page is Board Certified and is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.  He is also a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.  Dr. Page began his practice in Canandaigua in 1984 and joined the Canandaigua Medical Group in 1989.

Dr. Page and his wife, Kathryn, a Social Studies teacher at the Canandaigua Middle School, live in Canandaigua and have three children, Nathan, Alex, and Laura.   The Michigan State Spartans and the Buffalo Bills are two of his “Personal Favorites.” Dr. Page also enjoys biking, running, ice hockey, skiing (water, downhill, and cross country), watching movies, and reading.  Dr. Page’s “Personal Highlights” include: delivering 4,000 babies (as of June 2000) and biking from Canandaigua to Boston, Massachusetts;Burlington, Vermont; and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.


Robert W. Scott, MD

Physician

 


Born in Rochester, New York and raised in Fairport, New York, Dr. Scott is a graduate of the State University of New York at Brockport. He earned his Doctor of Medicine and completed his internship and residency from the University of Buffalo. Dr. Scott is Board Certified and is currently a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.  He began his practice in 1994 at the Canandaigua Medical Group.

Dr. Scott and his wife, Polly, a homemaker and interior decorator, live in Canandaigua and have three children, Margaret, Elizabeth, and Adam.
